Dr. Yvonne Noel has practiced OB/Gyn in Brooklyn, New York for over 40 years. Her areas of special interest have included uterine fibroids, menopause and minimally invasive endoscopic procedures.

Her passion for medicine began in college, where she studied the health practices of different cultures. That curiosity led her to attend medical school, obtaining a Doctor of Medicine (MD), training in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a fellowship in Pelvic Surgery.  She co-created one of the first integrative wellness centers in Brooklyn, bringing together internists, an acupuncturist and other health practitioners to provide integrative holistic care.

 

Dr. Noel's Caribbean heritage also deepened her awareness of how the environment shapes health. During her time there, she saw how pollution and climate shifts affect both land and people. That experience inspired her to earn a master’s degree in environmental conservation education and advocate for projects that restore beach fronts, promote environmental education and sustainable living.  

 

YveMD’s work as a gynecologist and concern about the reproductive, metabolic and cancer risks of unregulated, toxic chemicals in personal care products prompted her to obtain aesthetics training and developing personal care products that prioritized safe and clean ingredients.  To her, protecting the health of her patients and the planet are both forms of preventive medicine.
